So, I'm playing a pit gig tonight; it's my first rehearsal. I get there, set up... and realize I have no beater for my kick pedal.
Crap.
But, what I do have is my Zildjian drum tool... I extended the large hex wrench, fitted it into the beater shaft holder, and tightened the screw... no one ever knew the difference!
I took great pains to not let anyone know I had forgotten that piece. Maybe after the run ends I'll tell them.
