"My newset guess, based solely on his French sounding name and having played with Sting is Andre Ceccarelli. That's right. I never heard of him either. I just scanned drummerworld for French sounding names. I like the way this guy plays. I don't think it's him, based on the style, but I thought Andre could use more press." --- LLaBarge

I really didn't think it was him. The clips on drummerworld are much more... subdued. I really like the guy. I could see him smacking the hell out of the drums though. I like to do that myself on occasion.. This is exactly what WAI is good for; educating ourselves about drummers we never would have found otherwise. You should feel rather pleased with yourself, Leo...as you earned it...and I love the way Andre plays...and I didn't know that much about him either...he has a great website...but I don't speak French so I can only get around so much...but still...this guy is a Mutha! Posts: 94 (07/25/09 06:58:19) Regular Member Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts Report Post	i know "dede" but i had no idea he had played for sting!good one amba! now,about paco sery... as far as i'm concerned he is one of the most overlooked drummers ever!!!he is from senegal(i think!)and he has a unique style which is a combination of veeeeeeeeeeeeery deep african feel/endless fusion chops/punchy-in-your-face sound but can also be very subtle when the music calls for it...he was for many years the drummer in the late great j.zawinul's "the zawinul syndicate"!look him up!
