Some moderator, this whole thing went on while I was asleep at the wheel!
Thanks again Amba, good choice. Sorry I missed it, but now that it's game over, how about a "capper"? This poor guy is locking up playing with his band. Stuart comes by to offer some tips. My favorite line from Stewart: "If you ask a centipede how he walks, he will trip"

Wow. I never would have gotten that one.
Actually the first thought that I had (after "this sounds like DMB") was "that's certainly not Jim Keltner" and I suppose that should have led me to guess Stewart Copeland. He's definitely the "anti-Keltner." Now that I know it's Stewart, I can hear him in there. I heard the octabons on some of the fills but didn't identify them as such. All I could think is "That's a weird drum sound. Where have I heard that before?" I should have made the connection to Spirits in the Material World. I like the song and the singer's voice but I'm not a huge fan of the arrangement and the production. Parts of the melody remind me of "The Ladder" by Paula Cole. "Going round and round..." "Do it one more time..." d'ya hear it? |

With the snare sound and the hi hat patterns Stewart Copeland actually crossed my mind. I just didn't guess him. I was playing by three strikes and
you're out . That was a good one!!
