With the new shells presenting new sounds, have you changed your batter and resonant heads on your bass drum? EQ4 batter and EQ3 resonant? Muffling change? (
23 inch head being an exception )

Same head combinations for me! but, obviously the 23 heads are DW.
I guess if I was REALLY going to be a jazz guy, then I might go with lighter batter heads - but that is unlikely - also, I need the dbl. thickness to help last through all the abuse I dish out (with my shaker cans and all that kind of stuff!) |
